I’m Nicholas Borg and I make beautiful Shepherd’s Huts from my workshop in Dorset.
I bring together an array of materials, products and techniques to create these beautiful huts.
Each of the huts is crafted from scratch in my workshop, which gives me complete control of the quality of the hut and allows me to customise the design for each project.

BEAUTIFUL AND DURABLE
The huts are built from steel frames, galvanised to give a long lasting coating, galvanised steel roof frames and wooden side frames. These frames can be covered in a wide variety of timber cladding, or corrugated galvanised sheets. The wood can be painted, stained or left untreated. The galvanised sheets can be left plain galvanised or powder coated.
DOORS AND WINDOWS
A really important feature is the front door to your hut, whether it be a standard door, a stable door, or French doors. The door paint colour usually makes the hut, so choose carefully!
Single doors can be fitted either on the side or the front of the hut. Whereas the French double doors have to go on the front. I prefer to use wooden doors, but if you prefer aluminium or plastic, these can be fitted too.
The windows will always be double glazed, they can be side or top hinged and be placed pretty much wherever you want them.
WHEELS AND STEPS
The wheels are of steel construction, galvanised, or can be powder coated in virtually any colour to suit your design.
The front steps can be designed to your own taste, and are always manufactured to the highest quality. Usually steel straps and sides with wooden treads.
INSIDE THE HUT
The inside of the huts are finished with a tongue and groove moisture proof cladding that can be painted in a colour of your choice. The floor is moisture resistant chipboard, insulated and top coated with luxury engineered oak.
The walls, floors and ceiling are insulated and we cover the outside of the hut with a moisture proof membrane, allowing the hut to breathe.
The huts are also fitted with an electrical consumer unit, ready to power a number of sockets outlets and a lighting system (either standard or low voltage LED).
